Food was on the low end of average overall, but what really killed the experience was the waitress. She was slow (despite a nearly empty restaurant) and seemed annoyed at her job. The lettuce in my salad had clumps of soil in it, when I showed it to the waitress she decided to argue with me rather than offer to fix it. She tried to say there were different color lettuces and I was just seeing that. I had to pull out a clump of dirt and smear it between my fingers before she would listen. She very reluctantly, and very slowly replaced the salad. She had that "I maybe spit in it" attitude, so I just didn't eat it.
The atmosphere was quiet yet comfortable to dine in. The server was a very pleasant young man who took care of our family while we were dining yet gave adequate space for a wonderful dinner. As I have been in the service industry myself, I was a bit dissapointed with the meal. I felt like the kitchen may have rushed a bit. The fried food and burger were up to Perkins standards yet my pork Chop wasnt up to full temperature. A mistake which ovcershadowed the experience. I would still recommend it as a place to visit in Menominee.
We ate on a Monday at noon and the service was excellent. Our server was Aaron and he was quick to bring us any extras we asked for and was very friendly. Food was as expected and pretty good.
Perkins has delicious food at great prices. You never wait long to be seated and the servers are always so nice! I've never had a bad experience here. It's my favorite place in town. My favorite menu item: brioche French toast platter!
Excellent food, terrible service. Waitress brought out beverages, and forgot about us. Visited 3 times in 4 months. Will be a while before we visit again. Just bad service.
